Katie Arnold

American Sign Language Interpreter

ABOUT ME

Hello my name is Kathryn Arnold, but I go by Katie for short. I was born, raised, and am fortunate that I also get to work in the beautiful pacific northwest region, specifically the city of Spokane Washington. I first fell in love with American Sign Language (ASL) as an undergraduate at SFCC (Spokane Falls Community College) where I completed my AAST and started my journey as an ASL Interpreter. Right out of college I was hired on by a local school district where I am tasked with being a full time interpreter, primarily working with middle and highschoolers.

Eventually I went back to school and am attending William Woods University to complete my B.A. degree in ASL English interpreting. My immediate career goals would have to be finishing up my Bachelors program as well as the NIC test. After that I think it would be extremely interesting to pursue law interpreting or even maybe theater and musicals as that is where my heart is! Above all, I take great pleasure in being able to utilize my ASL training to bridge that communication gap for my local church! Thank you for taking your time to read this, and if you have any questions, or even just want to chat please feel free to contact me below.
